Google Tools
Google offer some excellent tools to help you with tracking the success of your
site and to give you clues as to what you need to work on with your site, this is
called 'Google Analytics'. With every site that we generate we add the necessary
html into all pages to be able to track this information. This is a free tool from
Google and so please note we do not claim to be making these statistics but we will
set this code up on your behalf and set it up so that you are sent an email weekly,
monthly or quarterly (your choice) so that the report is emailed to you. Below is
a list of some of the things that are included in this report and some the things
you can learn from it.

Google also offer a facility called Google Webmaster Tools. This allows someone
that controls a website to view some details on how Google view your website. This
also allows the webmaster to help speed up the inclusion of sites through giving
Google a sitemap to list all the pages. This also allows you to see how often Google
update details from your site as well as learn how many links from other sites around
the Internet link to your website as the more links there are the more popular your
website must be!
Google Webmaster Tools is also set up as part of the build procedure
as well as a sitemap built for you and submitted to the search engines. You will
also have your web address submitted to a number of other search engines to speed
up the inclusion of your new site.
